HP veer 4g

HP veer 4g
Introduction:

HP Jon Rubenstein said that his company wanted to turn a new direction, and certainly was not Veer - Veer 4G HP is likely to be the smallest fully functional smart phone market when it goes on sale May 15 day. In short, is the Palm Pixi Pre Plus disguise, only to delightfully small package WebOS 2.1 and modern functionality. How does it feel just a little keyboard to write, or throw the cards in all its small 2.6-inch App? Why HSPA + hotspot in your pocket, and that the G in addition, to reduce the frequency of its tiny 910mAh battery? These are the issues that led us to play in the 4G Veer this week, and you will find the answer after the break.

Design:

When I saw the HP Veer, it was a miniature version of the Pre 2 more each way meaningful - a deep black coatings, soft plastics and the buttons are all the same places. New version of AT & T white, but looks and feels like a giant chicken egg. It 'still cute as a button and the zipper still attached to slides with a simple meeting excellent, but very thin, lightly textured white plastic body is a bit' creaky and cheap. (. Note: Soft black model is also available) We found a little 'uncomfortable to hold against our palms, because, in reality, but a pinch of the fingers is risky, too - like the egg, Veer is relatively easy to fall, and we do not believe Humpty favorably by many falls. At the same time, we are not worried about the screen - is covered by a nice big piece of curved glass, gorilla, and it takes a substantial, heavy, press your thumb and index finger to make any type of liquid crystal under the ' influence. This is a small speaker on top, and the area of the gesture of Palm (with LED indicator strip) on the bottom.

Circling on the phone with the clock, you will find the volume switch and power button flanking the upper right - both solid, metallic, and easy to find and activated by touch alone, and three-quarters of the height of the right border, there are exclusive Palm magnetic charge / sync port. This requires a special USB cable to use, unfortunately, even if you get the MagSafe fantasy, and the port does double duty as host of the headset adapter included - because there is no dedicated jack 3, 5 mm for headphones. It is a task a little easier to transport nicknack lost as an adapter, but it works here, and the magnets are strong enough to hold your cables Veer helmet (not that we recommend something like that).

It is also a bit annoying as the software will pause the music when you connect or disconnect the AC because it seems totally arbitrary - when you connect the phone quickly transfer the speakers of headphones, then end the melody three seconds later. There is nothing in the bottom of the phone, but it is a well-built volume control on the left side of silver, a loop of string in the upper left corner, and a five megapixel camera and speaker EDOF back.
