Acer Liquid mini E310

Acer Liquid mini E310
Introduction And Design:

Acer has extended its range of liquid smartphones to include this pint-sized entry-level model, called Liquid Mini Acer E310. The fact that it is available in several colors (blue, pink, black, silver and green) indicates that it is aimed at young users who make their first foray into the smartphone arena.

The handset measures a compact 57.5 x 110.4 x diminutive 13 mm and only 109 g, it is quite light too. The build quality is solid enough, but it is clear from the outset that this is not a high-level smartphone. But it comes with a leather case that makes it look a little more fancy. The back is slightly matte plastic surface does not exactly scream quality, but it offers little grip compared to smartphones empty, it is more likely to slip from your hand at a time. But we found the rear a little hard to price out to insert the SIM card (we're not even going to tell you how long it took us - enough to say he was "a whole") .

The phone sports the usual flavor of Android buttons configuration of four on the screen, volume control on the right side of the box and a dedicated button to take pictures more easily. It is very comfortable to wear and not too warm the ears, even after a long discussion.

The 3.2-inch screen is big enough to casual web browsing, but not really compare the screens of high-end smartphones, where a screen of at least 4 inches is becoming the norm. The screen resolution is rather disappointing with only 480 x 320 pixels means that the graphics are far from strong, and gives the screen brightness. Fortunately, the screen uses capacitive rather than using resistance technology in some mobile phones lower budgets, but it feels a little numb. It supports multi-touch, but we found it to be very temperamental, so things look a bit like hard work. The keyboard is a sufficiently small and boring, but this was easily solved by tilting the phone in landscape mode.

Powered by Android 2.2 (Froyo), Mini-liquid user interface features custom manufacturer that sits on top of familiarity with the institution Android. This allows you to customize the home screen in two parts, so that the properties at the top of everyone's favorite applications, and other useful applications can be scrolled along the bottom of the screen. There is also a useful feature, which runs through the story, through a series of icons for applications and web pages you have used recently.

Acer Iconia Smart

Acer Iconia Smart
Introduction:

The Acer Iconia smart so great that if I had a lot of money enough, they come close to the knee such that the two would make a good pair of shin guards for a man tiny phone.

You must be getting the message is great. And the size is mainly due to its large 4.8in screen, which has a resolution of 480 x equally huge 1024. It's almost more pixels than a netbook, and enough to take the tablet as Iconia navigability.

But this is certainly and Smartphone, as if to prove this point, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The big question is, would you like your primary phone? We're not sure of this, but our money to banks that convenience Dell Streak.

Design:

Although quite large, it feels more like the phone in hand, and feels as part of a goat, hold it in your ear on the bus. It is longer and narrower than the line, measuring 64.5 x 13.6 x 141.7mm light 35g and 185g tip the balance.

It is not about size, though. The display does not scale the heights Galaxy Super Coil Plus Samsung AMOLED display, but the LED backlight, and is still damn good: the contrast of bright, colorful and sharp.

The processor is a Qualcomm MSM8255 Iconia power 1GHz, and seems to have enough juice to keep it working properly on Android this high-resolution screen. In our quick hands-on session with the phone in the cab Acer at Mobile World Congress, we have not noticed any delay, slow or jerky when scrolling through menus or scanning from the desktop to desktop.

Behind the 8-megapixel camera, which is one of the LED flash, capable to shoot video at 720p, in front of a 2-megapixel shooter for video calls. The phone also sports a Dolby audio technology, a gyroscope and an accelerometer game is the more accurate control, and the Acer clear.fi multimedia software is pre-installed. Rounding specific 14.4Mbits/sec HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and an HDMI port, which allows the tube videos at 720p HD TV.

One thing is likely to knock the stuffing frame Iconia Smart is great, as usual, its duration. The screen is so big you can record up to lunch-size portions of sushi, we wanted something a little 'more spacious. Unfortunately, the 1500 mAh is not greater than that of most standard-sized smartphone.

It 'a shame, because otherwise the large, exuberant Iconia Smart is a very interesting aspect of the device.

Acer Iconia Tab A500

Acer Iconia Tab A500
Introduction:

Acer Iconia Tab A500 is the latest in the continuous parade of tablets Android 3.0, and with a price that undermines Apple iPad 2 $ 50 loss Iconia $ 450 (per 04.23.2011) stands out in a host region. This tablet winning accessories for its many advantages, such as its inclusion of both USB and a microSD card slot, support for Dolby Mobile, widgets and personalized home screen allows you to organize applications. But while the loss goes to Iconia to replace a laptop, it still lives up - partly because of his own physical limitations and partly because of its software.

The A500 Iconia Tab is the largest of the three tablets that Acer has already submitted. The model tested here is Wi-Fi only, and is named A500-10S16u. A version compatible with 3G arrives at AT & T.

Design:

The two-tone style Iconia Tab tablets is one of the largest available today. The 10.1-inch multitouch screen has a black bezel, rounded corners more money and a brushed aluminum stand. The screen is difficult to oleophobic, but then, none of the pills I have seen so far can be really effective to fight against the monsters of the fingerprints.

Despite its weight, the tab Iconia felt surprisingly good in my hands. It is slightly longer and wider than the Motorola Xoom, which measures 10.2 by 7.0 by 0.5 inches, is 9.8 by 6.6 by 0.5 inches Xoom.

It is also slightly heavier than Xoom: £ 1.7 to 1.6 Xoom (to be precise, in the laboratory scale PCWorld weighs only 0.05 Iconia tab pounds of 1, 66 pounds for the year 1.61 Xoom if Acer shows its weight 1.69 pounds). However, the reality Iconia tab gave me the impression of being lighter than when Xoom hand. I tried both side by side, and always preferred the overall balance and weight of the sheet Iconia Xoom. Or a tablet is something I want to hold in one hand during a period of time, but both would give the green light tab Iconia. If the weight were excluded from the equation, but prefer the iPhone tab Iconia 2, while the iPad 2 to 1.3 pounds, the lightest of the three, its width of 7.3 inches makes it less conducive to celebration of the portrait and write with both hands.

The tablet feels strongly otherwise. Buttons and ports are logically located. The volume control and block rotation along the right edge at the top are clearly shape and easy to press. Similarly, the power button / rest is easy to find in the upper right corner, convenient and discreet alternative sports a red and white during charging. Even the cover is removed the right to reveal the microSD card slot (and SIM card slot in other models of the A500 support 3G) feels solid.
