HP iPAQ rw6815

HP iPAQ rw6815
 Introduction:

Hewlett Packard iPAQ latter has a longer name - iPAQ rw6815 Personal Messenger. He sounds like a kind of mobile instant messaging dedicated machine, without using the related work. It is a false impression, because Pocket PC, like the others, running Windows Mobile 5.0 is also able to pick up your personal e-mail by connecting to office networks.

Will talk to you, though, that can be confusing at times. At least you can change the function.

You can buy the iPAQ rw6815 Personal Messenger of £ 351 from eXpansys, which is where our test model came.

Design:

IPAQ rw6815 Personal Messenger is a lift-up lid of the screen - one of the clearest things in its design. You can see through the screen, and when you want to produce in order to use the touch-sensitivity to lift the lid, the communicator of Star Trek style. One might be tempted to sign up friends north of the border radius of you.

In fact, we hated it. It's something HP has done periodically in the past, and we are surprised he survived. The good news is that you can take the screen cover on no more effort than simply pulling without slots in the top of the main unit that holds it in place. Then you can throw it away. Sorry, HP - but thank you for providing the outer casing which protects rw6815, with or without a screen cover science fiction.

There is another remarkable detail rw6815: its size. The unit is very, very stocky, just 102 mm high. It's pretty bold to 19mm, and about as wide as usual for a Pocket PC to 58mm. This means that it feels a little different from the usual pocket and rests easily in your pocket. We rather like the truncated format.

Hewlett-Packard does not need to compromise on screen size to get to this size and shape, but - it measures 68 mm from corner to corner.

Silver all-over coverage is very attractive, but it is mostly plastic with a couple of splashes of metal, for example, two four buttons that are on the screen. Metal buttons are the call and end keys, including two soft menu button. Their center is a small controller, and the two left and right speakers.

The device sends the stereo output to headphones, and these small speakers, but do not expect to hear the stereo effect from them - they are too close together to do the job properly. And do not expect to be able to easily use your favorite headphones to the connector on the bottom edge of the house is 2.5 mm (as opposed to the standard 3.5 mm) black.
